Avner Halperin

CEO

Avner Halperin is an entrepreneur, executive and researcher in the fields of medical technology, innovation policy and big data economics.   Previously, he was the founding CEO of EarlySense for 15 years - bringing the company from inception to becoming a standard of care in US hospitals. Prior to that, Avner was CEO of Emmunet, VP Marketing at Radcom (NASDAQ: RDCM), and R&D leader at Eldat Communications (acquired by Pricer(PRIC.ST)). Earlier, he was a Department Head of an R&D Unit in the Israeli Defense Forces’ Intelligence Corps where he won the Intelligence Innovation Award.  In addition to his role at THM, he serves as a Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, lecturer at Tel Aviv University, and Chairman of the Board at EyeControl.

Avner earned an MSc in Applied Physics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from MIT where he researched globally dispersed teams.  He also taught courses on economics and entrepreneurship in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  He is an inventor of 34 US Patents.

Dr. Luria Sylvie 
 

Dr. Luria received her PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science  at Prof. David Givol's, lab, did her Post Doctorate at Stanford Medical School, at Prof. Paul Berg's Lab, and served as a visiting scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Prof. Alex Rich's Lab.

Since 1994, Dr. Luria has strengthen her  unique combination of life science education, exhaustive research in cellular, molecular, genetic, immunology and virology fields coupled with comprehensive and extensive experience in biomedical technology assessment, due diligence, technical representation with strategic planning, management and development of biotechnology companies.

Dr Luria has expertise in fund-raising and fostering strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies worldwide. Since 1999, Dr Luria has established over 48 spinoff companies that raised over 400 M NIS in their seed stage.

Dr. Hila Harris-Miller

Intellectual Property Manager

Dr. Harris Miller is a certified Israeli Patent Attorney with an extensive experience in various areas of IP activities, mainly in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices and digital health and a strong affinity for business.  

In her previous role she served as a patent attorney at the Chemistry & Life-Science department of the Reinhold Cohn Group, specializing in patent portfolio management, implementing business intelligence using patent analytics, and providing IP-consulting to leading investors.

She holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Life-Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Weizmann Institute of Science as an Azrieli fellow.

Dr. Shani Pery

Director of Business Development

Dr. Pery is an experienced healthcare executive and researcher with the mission of promoting patient-centric innovation in healthcare. In addition to her role at Sheba IMPACT, she is enrolled at the Reichmann University and Sheba Medical Center's executive MBA program in Healthcare Innovation.

Before her current position, Dr. Pery was a Business & Technology Development Manager with Mayo Clinic Ventures at Mayo Clinic's Department of Business Development, Rochester, Minnesota.

Prior to that, Dr. Pery served several roles at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries' Global R&D department, working mostly in fields of Global Patient Safety, Clinical Development as well as leading a pivotal team within Teva's Global Data Management Unit.

Shani holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and a B.Sc. in Life & Medical Sciences from Tel Aviv University.

Shiran Zveda

Incentive Program Manager and Intellectual Property
 

Shiran supervises all Incentive Programs relating to IIA  and intellectual property (IP) aspects.
She holds a MSc in Law studies and a Bsc in Biotechnology from Bar Ilan University and is  registered as a patent attorney at the Israeli Ministry of Justice. Shiran has over 7 years of hand-on experience in IP and a dealing with all aspects of IP protection.

Shani Goldhirsh 

Budget Project Manager

Shani holds a BA in business administration majoring in accounting, and a master's in business taxation.

The previous position was at a CPA's office in the taxation department.

Shani is an advisor and a budget project manager.

Limor Hiuny-Klein

Legal & IP project manager

Limor is an Intellectual Property legal assistance with more than 20 years of experience.

In her previous role she served as an IP Paralegal at the Reinhold Cohn Group, specifically as an IP portfolio manager, managing Patents and Designs portfolio for Israeli and foreign clients, including filing and prosecution of Patent and Designs worldwide. She is highly experienced in working with global corporations as well as early stage startups.           

She began her career as an Assistant to vice Registrar of Patents and Trademarks in the Ministry of Justice.

Lilach Levi

Office Manager

Lilach Levi joined THM in 2017 as Office Manager and Personal Assistant to the CEO. Prior to that she worked at the Heart Institute of Sheba Medical Center for 14 years.

Lilach received her B.A. at Economics and Business Management from Ariel University.
